On October 12, 2023, Pan Gongsheng, PBOC Governor and SAFE Administrator, met with Federal Reserve Chairman Powell on the sideline of the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Marrakesh, Morocco. They exchanged views on global economic developments, cooperation between the PBOC and the Federal Reserve and other issues of mutual interest.
